Open Surge is a game starring Surge the Otter. It is the spiritual heir of Sonic and developed by the same team that made Open Sonic.

Surge is a fast otter with great fighting skills and a righteous spirit that fights for justice in a world inhabited by magical talking anthropomorphic animals.

This is a game that has a strong inspiration in the classic Sonic games for the mega drive. The game mechanics are very similar and the story itself has remarkable reminiscences of the classic games Blue Hedgehog.
