Although it is a project made

Open Sonic was one of my first localization projects and one of which I appreciate the most since it allowed me to work with one of my favorite sagas in the world of videogames, the legendary Sonic the hedgehog.
fans, and does not relate officially with Sega. I was able to work directly with the development team and actively participate with the game developers to locate the key texts related to the different sections of the game.

In this
project it was key to work with TMX text files, and to locate menu texts without altering the IDs, tags and placeholders of the code.

In the localization process, we used translation memory to maintain the coherence between the different versions generated during the development.

Finally some of the sections of the game were not able to be localized using only text files and it was necessary to use Photoshop to translate texts that were made in jpg format.

There is no better motivation to get fully involved in a localization project than to work with one of the most beloved characters in the world of video games, having worked in a Sonic game gave me not only many hours of experience, but also lots of fun by playing a new iteration of this
 platform classic.
